Sonu Nigam Azaan Row: Priyanka Chopra’s old video praising Azaan goes viral

New Delhi: Sonu Nigam’s comments over using loudspeakers in Mosques, Temples and Gurudwaras created lot of buzz and controversy recently. Amidst recent tension on the 'Azaan' issue, Priyanka Chopra’s old video praising Azaan surfaced on the Internet. In this viral video from 2016, Priyanka is telling reporters that she finds listening to Azaan peaceful. This video is going viral after Sonu Nigam’s controversial comments on Azaan as reply to his statement. Check out the video here: This video is being widely shared on the internet. Priyanka was in Bhopal for promotion of her film 'Jai Gangaajal’ in 2016.  On being asked what her favourite time of the day is, she says that when she packs up her shoot for the day, she likes to sit on her terrace where the Azaan from six nearby mosques can be heard at sunset. “I really like those five minutes. The sun is setting and the Azaan can be heard on the microphone (loudspeaker). It’s a strange, peaceful time. It’s my favorite time of the day,” she says. Priyanka's fans are sharing this video on social media and giving advise Sonu to learn from the actor.
