Omi Vaidya aka 'Chatur' of '3 Idiots' is all set to make a comeback

NEW DELHI: Omi Vaidya, our very own Chatur Ramalingam from Aamir khan starrer '3 Idiots' is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood. The Los Angeles-based actor will return after five years with Abhinay Deo's upcoming 'Raita'. The director wanted him to play the character, hence, he put in extra effort for that. "For this particular character in Raita, I couldn't see anyone else other than Omi essaying it. We went the extra mile to reach out to him in the US and bring him back to Bollywood," Abhinay told mid-day. Omi who rose to fame with his epic 'Chamatkar' speech has not started shooting yet. 'Raita' has gone on floors but he is scheduled to join the team in May. Talking about the movie he said, "It falls in the same genre as Delhi Belly (2011). The comedy is situational." Raita also has Irrfan Khan. Besides '3 Idiots', Omi was also seen in 'Dil To Baccha Hai Ji', Desi Boyz, Players and Jodi Breakers. After 2012, though he was not active in Bollywood but he kept himself busy in US. Omi is playing a gay character in his latest release 'Here Or To Go?'. He is also seen in 'Brown Nation' on Netflix.
