Divya was upset after ceratin publication reported that she had approached Shruti Haasan and Aditi Rao Hydari, who refused to do her film.
The "Yaariyan" director said the report wasn't true.
"I have never met Shruti Haasan in my life and neither approached her nor Aditi for any of my films. These reports are not true," she said.
“I have just finished my script and Bhushan has liked it. We both have mutually agreed on the cast. Pulkit and Yami fits the bill and for this I wanted more matured looking actors. Post the look test that we did with them, they are looking perfect together," she added.
On the Mid-day report she says, “It is such a trustworthy newspaper, but I am really upset with the story they went head and published when I continuously said this information is wrong.”
Meanwhile, Pulkit said: “I loved the way Divya treated her debut film and was a big hit of 2014. I am happy to be on board for this love story which will be my very first matured love story genre film. My costar Yami is a great actress and I hope our pairing is accepted well by our audience.”
Yami refuting the rumours of she not doing the film says, "Bhushanji once happened to speak to me about Divya Ma'am next film. I loved the look of the lead girl and story flow so much that I knew I want to be a part of the film. Post some look tests and script narration I happily signed the dotted line. I really like my look and character in the film and I am very excited to start the project."
Bhushan Kumar produced Divya Khosla Kumar’s next untitled starring Pulkit, Yami and Urvashi Rautela will be going on floors by end of this year in North India.
The title of the film hasn't been registered yet.
