The one thing you need to keep in mind when going glam for a red-carpet appearance is not to go over the top. Deepika is one of the few Bolly girls who have mastered the art of striking that fine balance. Just watch her in this golden midi dress.


She probably chose the blue-and-pink necklace first and then the dress. Lesson to learn: When flaunting a statement piece, keep the rest of it (dress+accessory) minimal. And pick something that you can carry with confidence.


At the music launch of Happy New Year, Deepika looked like a dream in a peach Sabyasachi sari with intricate sea green detailing. A neat bun revealed the diamond studs.


This blue number she wore to a promotional event for Happy New Year brought out that cool girl vibe. The form-flattering dress, the blow-dried hair, the pink lips — every element blends in to hold the look.


From the polling booth to the film festival, Deepika’s outfit of the day was an all-white pant-shirt combo with a jacket. The red threadwork and peplum detailing on the jacket balanced the androgynous look, which needed no accessory apart from that gorgeous smile.
