BOX OFFICE: Dangal gets an EXCELLENT START on DAY 1

New Delhi: One of the most awaited film of year 2016 ‘Dangal’ released this Friday. It is an Aamir Khan film and it has to be perfect Despite of the Demonetization, film has got an excellent start on the Box Office. Recently released sports biopic has created roar all over with its massive kick off at the Box Office. Dangal opens to a phenomenal start with India collections reported at INR 29.78 CRs on Friday (Day 1) including 59 lakhs from Tamil and Telugu! Being loved across India!!! Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ that was released on Eid this year, earned 36.74 crores on its first day. Though Aamir Khan’s movie is just 6 crore behind it but despite of demonetization it an brilliant opening. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Dangal”, which released on Friday, is based on a true story and chronicles the empowering journey of a father who trains his daughters in wrestling. The pull in the story also lies in the fact that it’s a real life tale of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former national champion who, much to the disapproval of his wife and his whole village, trained his daughters Geeta and Babita to wrestle.
