Ae Dil Hai Mushkil makes it into Rs.50-cr club

New Delhi: There was a strong buzz around the Karan Johar starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ surrounding the casting of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the movie which kept it in the news for over a month.  However, the controversy surrounding the film, the strong cast and the positive reviews have helped the Karan Johar starrer to perform exceptionally well not just in India but also globally. The worldwide collection of the romantic drama which released on October 28 has its collection now stand at Rs. 121.21 crore gross. After an average earning of Rs.13.30 crore and Rs.13.10 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively and an even sad Rs. 9.20 crore on Sunday due to Diwali, the film saw a better Monday and the highest collection of Rs.17.75 crore since its release taking ADHM’s total collections in India to Rs. 76.21 crore gross. The movie released on the same day as Shivaay and it was being predicted that Devgn’s film would shine brighter than ADHM but surprisingly, the box office numbers are in Karan Johar’s favour who has come back to direction with this film after a gap of four years.
