‘Witch Child’ who was left to die makes stunning recovery

A two-year-old child who was left to wander on the streets in Nigeria because his family thought he was a witch, is making stunning recovery. The 'witch child' was forced to live off scraps of food thrown to him by passersby for eight months. The  boy was left to die but was saved by Anja Ringgren Loven (Danish woman living in Africa) who named him Hope. 127-540x395 On January 31st, Hope was rescued by Loven, who began to treat his condition. Just eight weeks later, Hope has undergone a miraculous recovery. Image courtesy-Anja Ringgren Lovén/Facebook She said, "The day I carried this sweet little boy in my arms for the very first time I was so sure he would not survive. Every breath he took was a struggle and I did not want him to die without a name, without dignity, so I named him Hope." She is the founder of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation. Loven created the organisation to help children which have been labelled as witches and, therefore, neglected. They are even killed by members of their community.
