Mumbai: Uber driver allegedly tries to molest female passenger

New Delhi: An Uber driver allegedly tried to molest female passenger in Mumbai. A late-night cab drive home from Pali Hill to 7 Bungalows in Mumbai quickly turned into a nightmare for a woman. A Facebook post describes the chilling events. The driver first invited her to sit in the passenger seat next to him as she was sitting in the back. He gave the ridiculous excuse that Mumbai roads were bad. When she refused, he said he couldn’t see very well through his back screen and stopped the vehicle. The cabbie then came to her seat, pretending to do so to clean the rear screen from the inside. He then, allegedly, sexually molested her by putting his hand on her thigh and trying to feel her up. The man, however, backed off when the female shouted at him. She managed to get out and escape. Viola Wadia, the woman's friend reported the incident on Facebook. The cab driver, reportedly suspended. 11
