New Delhi: A Saharanpur (UP) resident killed a man over the issue of playing his preferred song at a wedding.
The accused had an altercation with a wedding guest over whose choice of song would play during the wedding ceremony. After which the man with his friends beat the guest to death.
"On late Monday night, Manoj wanted the DJ to play a song of his choice. When Sachin, another wedding guest, insisted that the current song continue it led to a brawl between the two. Manoj then called three of his friends, who started beating Sachin up. The group of friends beat did not stop their assault till Sachin lay dead on the dance floor," said Jagdish Sharma, additional superintendent of police (rural) in Saharanpur, reports the Times of India.
According to reports, after the brawl one of Manoj’s friends brought an iron rod to the fight and struck a blow to Sachin's head with it. Soon, the victim collapsed on the floor. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police have booked all the four accused under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
