WATCH: Mumbai girl miraculously escapes death after coming under a running train

New Delhi: A girl in Mumbai would definitely thank her stars for miraculously escaping death after being mowed down by a train due to her carelessness. The shocking incident was captured on the CCTV camera installed at platform 7 of Kurla railway station. According to the Kurla railway police, Pratriksha Natekar was speaking to a friend over her mobile phone while walking on the tracks towards platform 7. (Watch India TV's video uploaded on YoutTube below) "As she was busy over the phone, she didn't hear a goods train thundering down the tracks. When she suddenly looked up the train had already reached her. She panicked and ran first towards the platform and then straight into the train," ssenior police inspector Ashok Bhorade from Kurla Government Railway Police was quoted by Mumbai daily Mid-Day. The train knocked her leaving no time for the motorman to apply brakes. Commuters at the platform could not believe their eyes to see the girl alive as she suffered minor injuries. The girl was admitted to hospital by the GRP for immediate treatment.
