Viral Sach: Did Mumbai police beat up youngsters mercilessly on road?

New Delhi: A video is getting viral on social media about Mumbai policemen beating two boys mercilessly in broad daylight. In the video, four cops can be seen beating two youths. The first person in the video clip is only wearing jeans and after beating him, cops stuffed him inside the police jeep. At the same time, cops pulled out the other person already sitting inside police vehicle and started bashing him too. The incident is said to be of Navi Mumbai's Panvel area. At first, the video seems to be a case of police atrocities on youths. However, it turned to be upside down. Fact check When ABP news did a fact check, the real story came out. Cops showed a CCTV video related with the incident to our reporter. Actually, two vehicles met with a minor accident near Orion mall in Panvel area. In one car, there was a family and in the other, three youths (including two who can be seen in the video getting beaten up by cops). A heated argument broke out between both the parties. On this, three young men from one of the two parties started beating up other party with iron rods. On getting information when Panvel police reached the spot and tried to control the matter, the youths even started talking trash with the cops. Police caught Sameer Patil and Sandesh Pawar but the third one Prateek Patil managed to escape. To teach them a lesson police beat up the youths in public. All the three are in police custody right now.
