VIDEO: Nigerian being badly thrashed in Greater Noida mall after Class 12 student's death

Uttar Pradesh: After the death of a class 12 student Manish Khari, in Greater Noida; a video has emerged where a Nigerian citizen was badly thrashed in a ‘Greater Noida Mall’ by a huge group of people, who can be seen beating up the man with metal chairs and rods amidst a busy mall. Though the credibility of the video hasn’t been verified yet, as per the person who has uploaded the video, the beating came as an aftermath of class 12 student’s death. What caused Manish’s death? Manish Khari went for a walk on Friday evening and didn’t return home, his relatives and neighbours set out to look for him. After someone claimed that the boy had last been seen with five Nigerian students who lived two doors away, the crowd barged into the house, but Manish wasn’t there. Later a horrifying rumour was set off that the Nigerians had eaten up the young boy. As it turned out, Manish returned to his home after sometime, in a disoriented condition. But that didn’t let the Nigerian students off the hook. Manish died on Saturday, seemingly of a drug overdose, leading his family to insist that the police file murder charges against the Nigerian students. After Manish’s death, five Nigerians were accused of cannibalism by locals and were charged of murder. MEA Sushma Swaraj speaks to Yogi Adityanath on the issue: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj spoke to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Tuesday about the alleged attack on African students after a foreign student requested her for swift action, saying living in the area is becoming a "life threatening" issue. Swaraj said the central government was taking immediate action and that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had assured her of a fair and impartial investigation into this "unfortunate" incident. "I have spoken to Yogi Adityanath ji Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh about attack on African students in Greater Noida. He has assured that there will be a fair and impartial investigation into this unfortunate incident (sic)," she said in a series of tweets. Disclaimer: It has not been verified yet if the video is credible and of a greater Noida mall.
