Varanasi: Modi holds hand of upset BJP leader Shyamdev Roy Chaudhari, takes him inside Kashi Vishwanath temple

New Delhi: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, during his visit to Kashi Vishwanath temple held the hand of unhappy BJP leader Shyamdev Roy Chaudhari and took him along with him inside the temple. Interestingly, when the PM, on Saturday, during his roadshow, was about to enter the temple, Shyamdev remain stood outside. On this Modi, held his hand and took him inside along with him. Actually, this time Shyamdev didn't get the ticket to contest the election and on this, he and his supporters are reportedly upset. And sensing this PM took this decision. Why his ticket canceled is not clear and Shyamdev himself, reportedly said that he has no idea about it. Reportedly, BJP had said that he is 77-year-old and that is the reason why he is denied the ticket. The ticket, this time, is given to first-timer Neelkanth Tiwari, an advocate pitted against Congress veteran Rajesh Mishra, a former Varanasi MP. Varanasi is the Lok Sabha constituency of PM Modi. About Shyamdev Roy Chaudhari Shyamdev Roy Chaudhari (Dada) is a politician and former cabinet minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh. He was a member of BJP representing Varanasi South assembly for seven times, since 1989 and is also known as Dada in Varanasi. Shyamdev was born in east Bengal and has two sons.
