Vacate Govt. bungalows within 2 months, SC tells former UP CMs

New Delhi: Tightening the law over procession of Government bungalows, the Supreme Court on Monday said that “ex-CMs cannot occupy government accommodation for lifetime”. The apex court said that “any such possession of government accommodation should be vacated within 2 months”. A dead line of two months has been issued to 6 ex-CMs of Uttar Pradesh including Samajwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP Chief Mayawati to empty the Government owned bungalows under their procession. These 6 former CMs also include Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Ram Naresh Yadav, Kalyan Singh and ND Tiwari.
