Delhi: Both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were adjourned after a ruckus by
the opposition parties over CAG report on the coal scam.
Reacting to the unprecedented scale of the alleged losses, chief
opposition party BJP has given a notice in Rajya Sabha to discuss the CAG
report on the coal scam.
"Coal ministry was under PM, this is the biggest scam ever. This govt has
looted the country," said BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar in response
to the 110-page-draft report.
Javadekar further called for the Supreme Court monitored investigation in
the case, saying that there is no point if Central Bureau of Investigation
(CBI) probes the matter alone.
Shailendar Kumar from the Samajwadi Party said, "We have asked for an
adjournment motion on question hour to discuss this scam."
