Viral Sach: Yogi Adityanath turns saviour for a city immersed in water?

NEW DELHI: Ever since Yogi Adityanath has taken the charge of the Uttar Pradesh government, several videos of the Chief Minister have gone viral on social media. Now, a video has emerged on internet showing Yogi Adityanath inspecting flood affected areas of a city. In the clip, Adityanath can be seen walking from streets to streets with a group of people in an area immersed in water up to two feet. The video features Adityanath, drenched in rain, standing on a road immersed in water with some people in a bid to figure out how to get rid of water-logging. Men around him are holding umbrellas over him but they're unable to protect Adityanath from getting soaked. It's claimed that Adityanath rescued a village from the wrath of nature by providing them the necessary help. "All the chief ministers, MPs, MLAs and councilors must rise above party lines and watch this video to take inspiration," a social media user said. The clip was shot on July 9, 2013 when heavy rains left several parts of Gorakhpur water-logged. After hearing about the water-logging, Adityanath, who was elected to the Parliament from Gorakhpur for five consecutive terms since 1998, rushed to inspect the status of dewatering and administration’s response in dealing with the situation that arose due to insistent rains. Upon reaching, the then MP was told that the regulators and pumping sets used to control the flow of flood water at Madopur dam were not functioning. It led to a flood like situation in city. Adityanath reprimanded people responsible for negligence in duty and ask them to ensure that regulators start functioning.
