UP: Bomb with a note found in Akal Takht Express; deactivated successfully

New Delhi: A "low-intensity" bomb, which has now been deactivated, was found in Amritsar-bound Akal Takht express late Wednesday night. The suspicious object, which was later confirmed to be a low-intensity bomb was found along with a threatening note.  The train had to be stopped at a railway station at Amethi in Uttar Pradesh and passengers had to be evacuated for monitoring of the suspicious object. Police and Bomb Disposal Squads had been at work since late night and were successful in diffusing the bomb. Passengers had to wait under constant terror before the bomb was defused. The train was going from Kolkata to Amritsar but had to halt at Amethi after the suspicious object noticed in the train. According to the reports it was reportedly found near the wash basin in one of the two-tier coaches. In a series of tweets, ANI has given the information about the event.

It has been reported that a handwritten letter has also been discovered. In the image of the letter that was shared by ANI, it is written that the killing of Abu Dujana will be avenged. "India will have to pay for the death of Abu Dujana'' it reads.  Abu Dujana, the chief commander of  Lashkar-e-Taiba  was killed recently in Jammu and Kashmir in Pulwama district.
