Three LeT terrorists killed in Sopore; internet services snapped in Baramulla

One police constable was injured during the encounter.

Srinagar: Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed on Saturday in a four-hour gun battle with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore town. Three sophisticated AK-47 rifles were recovered from the gunned down terrorists. Search operation was on in Amargarh village. Internet services were snapped in Baramulla district following the encounter. "The terrorists were killed in Amargarh area of Sopore in an encounter with police, army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)," police spokesman Manoj Pandita  was quoted by news agency IANS. "Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the slain terrorists. The exact identity of the terrorists is being established." he said "One police constable was injured during the encounter. He was shifted to hospital where doctors have described his condition as stable," he added.
