Six killed in Diwali-linked incidents in Uttar Pradesh's Etah District

Lucknow: At least six persons were killed and several others injured in Uttar Pradesh's Etah District in different Diwali-linked incidents on Friday.

 

 

Reports said the three incidents occurred at the Bura Batasha Mandi, in an area under the jurisdiction of the Jaithra Police Station and on Shikohabad Road, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Rijor Police Station.

 

Those killed included a shopkeeper and five youths. Three of the five youths were crushed by a vehicle. The shopkeeper was a victim of an explosion, while two youths died in a motorcycle-skidding mishap soon after making festival-related purchases.

 

Etah Police has confirmed the deaths and is investigating all three incidents separately.
