New Delhi: Two Congress workers on Monday suffered severe burn injuries while party members were setting on fire a Modi effigy in Shimla.
The incident occurred when one of the workers was pouring kerosene on the effigy while another immediately used a cigarette lighter to burn it.
There was an instant explosion following which the blaze caught on to the members gathered there.
The two severely injured people are said to be critical in Indira Gandhi Medical Institute while three others are out of danger.
The protest was against Modi government for allegedly carrying out political vendetta against the Gandhi family and Virbhadra Singh.
