Sharad Yadav refuses to comment on JD(U), says will directly speak in Parliament

Patna (Bihar) [India], August 13 (ANI): Amid the ongoing chaos in Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), the party has decided to have a meeting on August 19, on which party leader Sharad Yadav, who was recently replaced in the Rajya Sabha, refused to comment.

"I will talk in the Parliament now," Yadav said.

Further, when asked about his future strategy, Sharad Yadav said, "My only goal is to be among the people as of now and have no other programmes."

The party has been in turmoil ever since Sharad Yadav decided to kickstart a three-day "Jan Samvad Yatra" from August 10, as he was "unhappy" with Nitish Kumar's decision to break the mandate and join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

"Nitish Kumar went against the mandate. We are still following the mandate of the people, who were in the favour of the grand alliance," he had said.

Yadav, earlier on Saturday, claimed that he had sent fellow party leader Ali Anwar to attend a meeting of opposition parties convened by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, so that Bihar-like grand alliance is replicated countrywide.

Anwar was then suspended from the JD(U) parliamentary party. (ANI)
