Selected as CM candidate for HP, Dhumal assures BJP victory

Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh), Oct 31 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal on Tuesday said that BJP will win with majority in the Assembly elections.

Speaking to ANI, Dhumal said, "We expect that we will win the majority with 60+ seats".

"I thank my high command, workers and people of Himachal Pradesh," added the Chief Ministerial candidate.

On Wednesday afternoon, BJP President Amit Shah while addressing a rally announced Dhumal's candidature.

Dhumal has been the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh twice - from March 1998 to March 2003 and 1 January 2008 to 25 December 2012.

The Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election is schedule to be held on 9 November 9, 2017 and the results will be declared on December 18. (ANI)
