New Delhi: As the world struggled to come to terms with the senseless killing of 132 school children in Peshawar, students in India also stood up in solidarity with them.

Schools in India started the day with a two minute silence to remember the children butchered across the border a day earlier.

An air of tragedy permeated the proceedings as many students expressed shock over the realisation that those killed were not very different than them.

At least 132 students and 9 staff members of the Army Public School in Pakistan’s Peshawar were killed by militants who stormed the school when classes were in progress.
