Ryan murder case: Pinto family granted interim bail till December 5

Chandigarh (Punjab), [India] October (ANI): The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Saturday granted interim bail to the Pinto family till December 5 with stringent conditions in Pradyuman Thakur murder case.

The family, which owns Ryan Group of Institutions, is accused in the murder of its school student Pradyuman Thakur, whose body was found with his throat slit inside the toilet of the Ryan International School in Bhondsi, near Gurugram on September 8.

Speaking to ANI here, Victim's family advocate Sushil Tekriwal said, "Augustine Pinto, his wife and group managing director (MD) Grace Pinto and their son Ryan Pinto have been granted interim bail till December 5 with stringent conditions that they will not leave the country, they will not influence the witnesses and they will be making themselves available as and when required by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)."

Tekriwal further apprised that the High Court has also said that on December 5, the CBI will file the investigation progress report in the case.

On September 28, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had stayed the arrest of the Pinto family.

They had moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the matter.
