Jaipur: The dargah committee of Ajmer Sharif today received a donation of Rs 2 crore in keeping with the wishes of industrialist Dadi Balsara, who died in June.

In his will, Balsara had directed his family to make donations at several places, including Rs 2 crore at the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty in Ajmer where he used to visit frequently.

The CEO of the dargah committee, Ashfaq Hussain, received the cheque from the officials of Balsara’s company in Delhi. “We are considering starting a scholarship on Balsara’s name for poor students to prepare for engineering and medical entrance examinations, ” Hussain said.

The panel would also create some facilities for elders like a rest room at the dargah’s guest house and make provisions for wheelchairs, he said.
