Rajnath promotes 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' cleanliness campaign at ITBP campus

New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday promoted the 'Swachchhata Hi Sewa' campaign at Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) campus here.

'Swachchhata Hi Sewa' is an initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Addressing the gathering, Singh said, "This drive which has begun from September 15 will culminate on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. on October 2.

Singh also highlighted various steps taken by the Centre to fulfill the target of the cleanliness mission.

A 'Swachchhta pledge' was also administered by Singh.

R.K. Pachnanda, DG ITBP conveyed his gratitude to the Home Minister and MHA for giving the opportunity to the ITBP for hosting "Swachchhata Hi Sewa" campaign program and assured that the force will participate in the campaign with letter and spirit.

A swachchhta demonstration by women ITBP personnel was presented.

Theme song was created and composed by ITBP personnel on cleanliness was also presented.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister along with senior ITBP officers and jawans also participated in cleanliness drive around the Unit campus. (ANI)
