Rahul takes responsibility for loss in UP

New Delhi: Accepting
responsibility for the party's poor showing in Uttar Pradesh, Congress
general secretary Rahul Gandhi said the poor organization of the party and
weak "fundamentals" in the state were responsible for its poor show.

The Congress General Secretary spoke to the Press after meeting mother and
Congress President Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janapath.

"Congress fundamentals were weak. Until we set that right, that weakness
will not go away," Gandhi, who led the party's campaign in the state, told
reporters here. Congratulating the Samajwadi Party for its victory, he
said the Congress was not where it should be organisationally.
