People in Gujarat, Himachal recognised BJP's work for development: Sitharaman

New Delhi [India], Dec 18 (ANI): Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday expressed happiness over the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections and said people in both the states recognised the work done by the party for development.

"The work done by the party workers right from booth workers to the Prime Minister's level is commendable. Everybody has put their best foot forward and both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have recognised the good work going on in the name of development," Sitharaman said.

Echoing similar sentiment, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju hailed the poll outcome and said that the victory was expected.

At the time of reporting, the saffron party was leading in 99 of Gujarat's 182 seats while in Himachal Pradesh it was leading in 43 seats. (ANI)
