Patiala House Court issues notice to NIA, Tihar Jail on medical ground for ISIS suspect

New Delhi [India], July 27 (ANI): Delhi's Patiala House Court on Thursday issued a notice to National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Tihar Jail authorities on a plea seeking interim bail on medical grounds by an alleged ISIS suspect Mohammed Shareef Moinuddin Khan for allegedly recruiting and financing people to join the terror outfit.

The court further sought reply seeking 15 days interim bail for Moinuddin to undergo surgery.

Earlier this month, a special bench of the Nampally Court in Hyderabad gave the transit order for two Islamic State (ISIS) suspects who were arrested by the Telangana Anti-Terrorist squad.

The court had also given the transit remand to the NIA to probe into the matter, while the relatives have alleged that false charges have been put on the accused.

The court then awarded a three-day remand for Mohammed Shareef Moinuddin Khan and Abu Anas, while the other two suspects have not been named yet.

On January 23, 14 other accused were detained, out of which 13 have been arrested which was confirmed by the Home Ministry. In addition to it, eight suspects were arrested by the NIA. (ANI)
