Pakistan again denies Indian Army's claims of destroying Pak post

New Delhi: Pakistan Army spokesperson on Tuesday denied Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LOC in Naushera Sector. Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor also said India’s claims of firing by Pakistani Army on civilians across LOC are false. The immediate reaction came after Indian Army announced that it has been carrying out punitive fire assaults across the line of control to thwart infiltration bid of terrorists from Pakistan. "Recent actions in Naushera have caused damage to Pakistan army posts," Major General Ashok Narula, head of army’s public information wing, informed media persons. Reports say the strikes on Pakistani army posts were carried out on May 9-10. However, Ghafoor’s tweet on May 13, did indicate that an attack of such nature ahd taken place around the same period and the confirmation of which was made by Indian Army today. “Any Indian Army misadventure across LOC 'll be a miscalc, shall be responded with full force & could lead to unintended consequences,” Ghafoor had tweeted. Pakistan in September last year also denied the surgical strikes by India and accused it of cross-border firing that killed two Pakistani soldiers. "This quest by Indian establishment to create media hype by rebranding cross border fire as surgical strike is fabrication of truth. Pakistan has made it clear that if there is a surgical strike on Pakistani soil, same will be strongly responded," the Pakistani military's press wing, had then said.
