Noose tightened around Pakistan for Kulbhushan Jadhav's return

New Delhi: As the furore over death penalty to former Indian Navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav by Pakistan has escalated, the noose has been tightened by Indian government, which is leaving no stone unturned to get Jadhav back.  As per Government sources, all attempts are being made to ensure Jadhav’s safe return to the country. Armymen protest outside Pak High Commission: Army veterans staged a protest on Wednesday outside the Pakistan High Commission over Islamabad’s decision to sentence former naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav to death. "We have given memorandum to Pakistan against the death sentence given to Jadhav. He has been framed. This kind of inhuman and illegal activity is completely unacceptable," an army official told a news agency. Right-wing outfits hold protest for Jadhav's release Members of various right-wing organisations led by the Hindu Jan Jagriti Samiti held a demonstration at Dadar in Central Mumbai today demanding the release of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav. Home Minister Rajnath calls it a pre-planned murder: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier accused Pakistan of attempting a "pre-planned murder" of Kulbhushan Jadhav and asserted India will do "whatever it takes" to ensure his release. "Jadhav is not a spy and should be released," Singh asserted. Who is Jadhav? Jadhav, who hails from Maharashtra, was "arrested" on March 3 last year by Pakistan security officials allegedly in Balochistan which, they said, he entered from Iran. He was sentenced to death by a military court in a secret trial and the Pakistan's Army Chief approved his execution.
