New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will appear in Patiala House court on Saturday in the National Herald case. Party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will also accompany mother to the court.
While Sonia Gandhi maintained silence on the question whether she will furnish bail bonds, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said they would resort to all the legal remedies as advised by their lawyers.
Surjewala rubbished speculation that they would not seek bail to draw political mileage out of the controversy.
They have been summoned by the trial court on primafacie charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and criminal breach of trust and dishonest misappropriation of property under relevant sections of the law.
The case has arisen out of a private criminal complaint filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.
