Mumbai police prepares sketch of one of the 4 spotted suspects in Uran, city on high alert

New Delhi: After spotting 4 suspicious strangers in Airforce uniform  in Uran, near Mumbai; west Airforce command has raised a high alert alarm at Mumbai coast. The Police has stated that an operations has been launched to nab all four. Out of the four suspects, the sketch of two of them have been readied by Mumbai police. Earlier the sketch of only one suspect was prepared, but the police on Friday prepared the sketch of the second suspect as well. sketch of suspect 1 A group of school students on Thursday claimed to have seen four men moving around Uran with weapons. According to Indian Airforce Chief’s PRO, a joint probe has been initiated along with Maharashtra police. After the information, Mumbai, Thane, New Mumbai and Raigad are on high alert. sketch of the second suspect After the alert was sounded, the Maharashtra police is also taking an aid from the coast guards to catch hold of the suspects. Not just Mumbai, even Gujarat coast has been put on high alert, and the security forces have been ordered to stay alerted at the coasts. Additional commissioner of police (law and order) tirath raj said that security forces in the coastal regions as well as other security officials have been asked to keep a close watch on any suspicious person. The schools and colleges in Uran and adjoining areas were shut on Friday. "As per the reports, five to six persons were sighted in Pathan suits and appeared to be carrying weapons and backpacks," Naval spokesman Cdr Rahul Sinha had earlier said. Some reports said they were in military uniform. Despite carrying out massive combing operation in Uran and Karanja areas with the help of Navy, Coast Guard, CISF and Quick Response Team, police are yet to trace the suspects. The elite commandos from National Security Guard (NSG) and state police's specialised Force One have also been roped in, police said. Navi Mumbai Commissioner of Police monitored the situation throughout the night alongwith other top officials. A strict vigil by police and other security agencies is being maintained in the area. A high alert was yesterday sounded along the Mumbai coast and adjoining areas after a group of men were spotted moving suspiciously near a naval base at Uran in Raigad, leading to search operations by multiple agencies. The alert came four days after the Uri attack which left 18 soldiers dead.
