MP CM hails police force at Police Commemoration Day program

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India] Oct 21 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday attended Police Commemoration Day program here.

Director General of Police (DGP) Rishi Kumar Shukla and all the police officials were also present at the function.

During the event, the Chief Minister expressed grief over the death of police constable Balamukund Prajapat, who was shot dead by two assailants on Diwali night in state's Chhatarpur district.

The Chief Minister also hailed the police force for their contribution.

Chouhan also congratulated the police force on encounter of SIMI terrorist and crackdown on Naxalite movement.

"The force always rescues us in all circumstance including flood, rain, or law and order," he said.

He further said that public and students should also participate in the program.

"From next year, common people will also be included in the Police Commemoration Day program. The ministers will also visit martyrs' home on this day," he added. (ANI)
