MoS Defence Bhamre visits forward areas along LoC in Rajouri, Poonch

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 4 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre on Wednesday visited forward areas along Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Bhamre is on a two-day visit to Jammu region. He arrived at the White Knight Corps Headquarters at Nagrota today wherein he was briefed by GOC White Knight Corps Lt. Gen. A.K. Sharma on the prevailing security situation and operational dynamics of the Corps.

He also visited forward areas of Rajouri and Poonch sector accompanied by GOC White Knight Corps.

During his visit to various forward areas along the LoC, he was briefed on the security dynamics here.

Bhamre appreciated the efforts being put in by the soldiers in safeguarding the borders in difficult conditions and hostile terrain.

He assured the soldiers that their interests are of paramount importance in the heart of the entire nation and the government is sensitive to all the issues pertaining to them.

The MoS Defence commended the alertness of all the troops deployed along the border and appreciated their efforts in foiling the nefarious designs of inimical forces and stressed upon the need to maintain a high degree of vigil. (ANI)
