Mishra 'shares evidence' against Kejriwal in Rs 400 crore tanker scam

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party legislator Kapil Mishra met the ACB offcials on Monday and submitted documents in support of his allegations against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal that he had delayed the probe into a Rs 400 crore water tanker scam. Mishra alleged that the investigation into the water tanker scam that dated back to Sheila Dikshit's tenure as chief minister was delayed by Kejriwal . "I informed the ACB about the misuse of the government money by the AAP. I also told that the state government tried to shield Sheila Dikshit and have given information of the tanker scam to the ACB," he said after leaving from the ACB office. Mishra also declared he is the witness of the alleged scam and said, “I have provided the basic evidences and details on tanker scam. I am the complainant and witness too”. “I have been called for recording my statement again I am going to CBI to register a case against Mr. Kejriwal. Those who think these allegations are a joke, time will tell them” he added. Addressing a press conference, senior leader Sanjay Singh refuted Mishra's allegations. Sanjay Singh said it was Mishra who had repeatedly said that Kejriwal "had nothing to do with the scam" and the ACB was under pressure to "frame him by any means possible". "The ACB is under the central government which is ruled by the BJP. It is the BJP which is behind all this." Mishra on Sunday accused Kejriwal of taking Rs 2 crore from his cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain. He said he has given a statement to Lt Governor Anil Baijal regarding various irregularities seen by him during his tenure as minister in Kejriwal's cabinet. "I saw with my own eyes Satyendar Jain giving Rs 2 crore in cash to Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. When I asked Kejriwal, he said such things happen in politics and it will be revealed later," he alleged. Mishra said he would be at the ACB office at 11 AM on Monday to share "all evidence". However, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia defended the Chief Minister. "The kind of allegations that have been made against Kejriwal are unsubstantiated. No one will believe them," Sisodia told the media. "There is no substance in this allegation." Sisodia said the allegations came just after Mishra was told he was being removed as minister. Senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said even the worst enemies of Kejriwal can't imagine him to be corrupt. (With inputs from agencies)
