Metro services to remain affected on Blue Line on Sunday

New Delhi [India], February 02 (ANI): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued an advisory stating that metro services will be affected between Yamuna Bank and Vaishali stations for two hours on February 4.

The train services between the two stations of Blue Line will be run on single line because of track maintenance work.

"Trains will be affected, trains will run at 15 min frequency during the block. Services on Yamuna Bank -Dwarka line will not be affected," Anuj Dayal, executive director, corporate communications, DMRC told ANI.

"The maintenance work will be carried out on down line of this section (Yamuna Bank to Vaishali) during non-peak hours i.e, from 12:30 PM to 02:30 PM only..This scheduled track maintenance work on the Down Line (going towards Vaishali from Yamuna Bank) has to be undertaken during day time only due to ambient temperature constraints," he said.

To ensure that there is no inconvenience to commuters during this period of two hours, the Delhi Metro has also made following special arrangements on the section:

-Additional Customer Facilitation Agents (CFAs) and security staff will be deployed for crowd management and other necessary assistance to commuters at important stations of Yamuna Bank and Anand Vihar.

- Announcements will also be made at the stations and inside the trains about destination of trains and respective platforms for change over during this period.

The DMRC statement further asserted that train services on Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida City Centre will continue as per the normal schedule throughout the day.(ANI)
