Mangaluru's St Aloysius College imposes ‘sexist’ rules on female students
New Delhi: During the era where women activists have become prominent figures, when female members take charge of the most important positions in the union cabinet, where we keep empowering women in every sector in order to ensure that they don’t feel any less than their male counterpart; a Mangaluru college has raised several eyebrows by coming up with sexist and stringent rules for its female students.
The matter came to lime light after an alumnus of St. Aloysius Pre-University College, Satshya Anna Tharien, made a blog post about the new set of rules the college has imposed on the girl students.
The female staff of the college reportedly declared the new set of rules in a closed-door meeting which was attended only by ‘female’ students.
The guidelines imposed by the college didn't go down the throat of one of the students who took on to social media in order to expose and condemn the college's 'rule-book.'
Two days after a blog post on “discriminatory rules” enforced on students went viral; the college authorities are mulling to file a complaint to the cyber-cell. “This post on rules and regulations of the college is far from truth,” says college management.
