Caller who threatened to KILL Alia Bhatt, Soni arrested

Mumbai: The caller who threatened Director Mahesh Bhatt has now been nabbed. the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh in lieu of daughter Alia Bhatt’s life. The caller threatened Bhatt to give the amount else he would ‘kill’ Alia, and his wife. The caller told Mahesh Bhatt that his name is Sandeep Sahu. He gave details of his bank account asking to deposit 50 lakhs. The bank account was of Punjab national bank in Lucknow. On receiving the call Bhatt immediately reported the matter to Mumbai police who are now investigating the matter and trying to find out the location from where the call was placed. Alia is busy these days with the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ with actor Varun Dhawan. The caller reiterated his demand in front of Bhatt via various text messages and said, “If you fail to do so, I will fire several rounds of bullets in your daughter Alia and wife Soni.” The matter was later shifted to Mumbai Police's Anti Extortion Cell (ANC).  The security outside Mahesh Bhatt’s residence has been tightened.
