Madhya Pradesh: Days after CM gets 'lift' from cops, woman in labor pain walks down 6kms

New Delhi: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from the flood struck Madhya Pradesh, where a woman had to walk down 6 kms in labor pain through flood water, to reach the hospital in the Chhatarpur district.   In the picture above, the woman can be clearly seen struggling to walk as she is dragging herself with the support of two other women. The incident comes after Chief Minister of the State Shivraj Singh Chouhan drew flak and ridicule for a photograph showing him being lifted by security personnel to cross a swollen nullah in the state's Panna district to meet flood-hit people there. The incident was highly condemned by Opposition, where the Congress called it BJP’s "feudal mindset". Continuous rains caused heavy flooding in several areas of Madhya Pradesh, where over fifteen people had to lose their lives.
