The strike came after raids at petrol pumps by Uttar Pradesh STF after orders from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The petrol pump owners faced red from the STF after they were caught red-handed be-fooling people and stealing fuel. In the recent raids done by Lucknow STF, it was found that petrol pump owners were inserting a chip-like device inside their petrol dispensing machines and fooling the consumers by selling them less fuel for the same price. The raids were conducted on around 15-16 petrol pumps and 13 pumps were seized in the raids.
