J&K DGP appeals Kashmiri youth to give up arms

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 23 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid on Saturday hailed the success of operation "All-Out" and appealed to the youths who are up in arms in Kashmir to give it up

"It is my appeal to the youths on the wrong path, who have taken up arms, to give it up", said DGP Vaid while addressing media on Saturday.

DGP Vaid termed operation 'All-Out' as a complete success.

"Operation All-Out has been a success; the situation, especially in South Kashmir, will be back to normal soon," he said.

Operation All Out was launched by top security agencies in the country to hunt down most notorious terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The offensive was launched keeping in mind the growing rate of militancy in the valley. Names of 285 terrorists were shortlisted for the operation to flush them out.

Earlier DGP claimed that the situation is much better in Kashmir after the operation. With the growing rate of youth joining terrorist outfits, DGP has appealed them to give up arms to avoid consequences. Operation 'All-Out' will continue till there is peace in the valley, DGP SP Vaid. (ANI)
