Is there something more than what meets the eye: Derek O'Brien on Mamata's plane running out of fuel

New Delhi: Derek O'Brien of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has today raised the matter of West Bengal CM's plane running out of fuel in the Rajya Sabha and doubted that "Is there is something more than what meets the eye". In the upper house of Parliament, he said-"Not only the Chief Minister of west Bengal was there, there were 100 other passengers who were there". "Is there more to this than what meets the eye", he doubted. "Why the plane denied landing at first place. Today it's one opposition leader, tomorrow it can be anyone", TMC leader said. Ghulam Nabi Azad of the Congress, who is serving as the Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, demanded an investigation into the matter. "If this can happen with one CM, it can happen with other CMs as well. As per my knowledge of aviation, if you are short of fuel you are given top priority to land", the Congress leader said in the upper house. "This aircraft (carrying Mamata Banerjee) should had been given priority", he added. This is a very serious case and there should be an inquiry, he said. On Wednesday, an aircraft with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on board hovered in the night sky for about 40 minutes before landing at the NSCBI Airport. The All India Trinamool Congress has alleged that it was a conspiracy to eliminate the party supremo. Here are 5 important developments related with the story:
