The bodies of 39 Indian construction workers kidnapped in Iraq in 2014 by the Islamic State group have been found in a mass grave, India's foreign minister said March 20. Sushma Swaraj told the upper house of parliament the workers had been murdered by IS. New Delhi: The official news today that 39 Indian kidnapped by ISIS in Iraq's Mosul in 2014 were murdered, has given a shock to the family members of the deceased.

Actually, 40 Indian were kidnapped but one of them, Harjit Masih, escaped by posing as a Muslim from Bangladesh.

The confirmation my Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj today in Rajya Sabha has come as a jolt for the relatives and are sorrowful.
