Human patrolling is outdated: Israel guards its borders through robotic guards

New Delhi: Without sending human guards at the borders, Israeli Army is guarding the same effectively. How? The answer is through robotic border guards. They are so effective that not even one enemy can dodge these robots. In Israel, every citizen has to serve three years in Army. But the Israel takes help of robo guards for guarding its highly sensitive borders. How do these robo border guards work? 2 Each of them has two cameras installed in them. One at the upper end and another at the lower end. And these cameras are connected with control room where guards see live streaming on monitors. If anyone comes within 15 meters of robotic guard's range, it sounds a warning and also sends a message to control room. The cameras have infrared sensor and night mode. If, even after warning someone tries to cross borders, human guards, swiftly reach the place to neutralise them. This patrolling by robotic guards have not only made guarding borders easy but also avoids putting life of guards at risk. Untitled collage (5) How can India put these robo guards into use? Interestingly, India and Israel will elevate their ties and sign several agreements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit in Jerusalem, the first ever by an Indian premier. The visit is hailed as a "very significant step" in strengthening bilateral relations that are on a "constant upswing". Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be received by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the airport. This is a special gesture only accorded to the Pope or the US president. Netanyahu will also host a dinner for Modi. Netanyahu will accompany Modi to most of the events, including the community reception on July 5.
