HP polls: PM Modi presides over CEC meeting, may announce candidates later today

New Delhi [India], Oct 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah presided at a Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting on Saturday to finalise its candidates for Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

As per the source, the BJP will on Sunday announce the first list of candidates.

The meeting was held at party headquarters.

Party veterans and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Ministers Shanta Kumar, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Himachal BJP chief and state incharge were also present at the meeting.

Voting for Himachal Pradesh elections will be held in a single phase on November 9 and the result will be declared on December 18.(ANI)
