March 3, 2017: The Bhopal–Ujjain Passenger train (2017) bombing occurred when a bomb exploded on the Bhopal–Ujjain Passenger at Jabri railway station. It injured 10 passengers.

February 20, 2017: Three passengers were injured after two bogies of New Delhi-bound Kalindi Express derailed after colliding with a goods train coming from opposite direction near Tundla junction in Uttar Pradesh.

March 30, 2017: A total of 52 passengers were injured when the Mahakaushal Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh. The train, which runs between Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi derailed near Kulpahar station.
