Explosive in UP Assembly: Cong. says have never seen any Govt. tumbling down so soon

New Delhi [India], July 14 (ANI): The Congress on Friday lambasted the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government, saying that they have never seen a Government failing this soon.

This remark came a day after suspicious white powder was found in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly during an ongoing session.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not know how to run a government.

"The UP Government tumbled down within two months. I have never seen a government failing this soon. If explosives can be found under the seat of the Leader of Opposition (LoP), you can imagine the condition of law and order in the state. When the LoP is not safe, then you can imagine the security of the common man," Azad said.

The Samajwadi Party has also opined the same, stating that one can imagine the situation of the state if such a suspicious thing has been found in the Assembly.

However, Chief Minister Adityanath has taken cognizance into the issue and has sought for a National Investigative Agency (NIA) probe into it.

Adityanath, while confirming that an explosive, by the name of Pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN), was indeed found in the Assembly, pressed for more vigilance in Uttar Pradesh, more particularly in the Assembly and rued the absence of a Quick Response Team (QRT) for the state.

Aditynath urged the officials to not compromise on the security of the state and the nation, more so considering the current situation of the country. (ANI)
