Congress releases chargesheet against Delhi Govt

New Delhi [India] Feb. 14 (ANI): The Delhi Congress on Wednesday released chargesheet against Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi Government.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Maken released the chargesheet, which is in the form of a booklet, in the presence of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and other senior party leaders.

It is not AAM Aadmi Party but Khas Aadmi Party (Important Man Party). The booklet contains the evaluation of different departments of Delhi. We have also compared Congress' 15-year-rule with of AAP rule, which is based on facts and figures.

We have highlighted how the AAP government sidelined development. We have also checked the reality of promises made by the AAP before Delhi elections in 2015.

"The Janlokpal Bill passed by AAP government is a Jokepal, which they are still not able to get it approved," Maken said.

Talking about the education sector, Maken said, "Despite big claims by Delhi government, 98000 students left government schools. In last one year, record 9149 people suffered from respiratory diseases, 140000 people died due to diseases like cholera and diarrhea and 111 dispensaries were closed down."

He further added that the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has witnessed decline of 54 crore passengers due to the poor service.

"The DTC fleet lost 1272 buses. For the first time, the Delhi Metro work has delayed by two years and the fare of Metro increased twice in a year," Maken said.

The Congress leader also said that around two lakh people did not get pension.

"The rate of water and sewer increased thrice in the last two years," Maken said.

He said that the AAP government was only announcing schemes but doing nothing on the ground level.

Sheila Dikshit said the Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government was not doing any development work.

"AAP government is not doing any developments work. This government is just spending money on advertisement only," Sheila Dikshit said.

Maken also said that the Delhi unit of the Congress is united and there is no rift between us.

In-Charge of Delhi P.C. Chako, former Delhi ministers Kiran Walia, Haroon Yusuf, ex MP Mahabal Mishra were also present on this occasion. (ANI)
