New Delhi: Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has sent notice to six former Chief Ministers to vacate their government residence. The six CMs include Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Rajnath Singh, Kalyan Singh and N D Tiwary. They have been given a time of 15 days to empty the government bungalows. Former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav had met CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday to suggest a way to save his bungalow. He requested the CM to let him transfer his and Akhilesh’s house to the name of MLAs Ram Govind Choudhary  and Ahmed Hasan. However an IAS officer at the CMO denied the suggestion and said that his request could not be approved. Within 24 hours of meeting Mulayam, CM Yogi sent a notice to all former CMs to vacate their government residences. BSP supremo Mayawati who has been elected as UP’s CM for four terms resides in Lucknow at 13 Mall Avenue’s government bungalow. Mulayam Singh Yadav who has been the CM thrice, resides in a Bungalow which is even larger than that of the CM. Akhilesh Yadav’s residence is near Mulayam’s bungalow. Home Minister Rajnath Singh was also sent the notice. He lives in Delhi but the bungalow in 4 Kalidas Marg is on his name and he stays there whenever he visits Lucknow.
